An all-star cast are being lined up to star in Harry Hill’s first ever big-screen effort.

Comic writer Harry Hill has bagged himself some big-names to star in his debut movie, which he is writing and starring in.

Julie Walters is to play the funnyman’s Nan, while Matt Lucas has been cast as his estranged, Alsatian-raised, twin brother Otto.

Sheridan Smith, Jim Broadbent, Julian Barratt and Marc Wootton are also on board for the yet unnamed movie which sees the TV Burp star embark on a road trip to Blackpool with his alcoholic grandmother after discovering that his hamster only has one week to live.

Inbetweeners star Simon Baird and indie music group The Magic Numbers are also set to make an appearance.

Speaking about the project Hill said: "I'm thrilled at last to be able to tell the world the true story of my hamster's struggle on the big screen and even more excited to be working with some of the comedy greats of the British film industry."

The Harry Hill Movie will be directed by Steve Bendelack (Mr Bean's Holiday) from a script by Hill, Jon Forster and James Lamont. It will hit cinemas at the end of 2013.
