30 Rock star Alec Baldwin's Tony-nominated play, Orphans, has been cut short on Broadway due to poor sales.

According to the show's producers, the Broadway revival of Lyle Kessler’s Orphans, will close on May 19 at the Gerald Schoenfeld Theater.

The play, which received two Tony Award nominations: for best leading actor (Tom Sturridge) and for best play revival, had been scheduled to run through June 30.

It joins The Testament of Mary, Hands on a Hardbody, The Anarchist, Scandalous, Jekyll & Hyde and The Performers to have short Broadway lives this season.

When Orphans closes, it will have played 27 previews and 37 regular performances.
