Adele is back in studio recording the follow-up to 21 with Florence + The Machine producer James Ford and Florernce and Calvin Harris co-writer Kid Harpoon according to reports.

The Sun claims the 24-year-old Londoner has returned to the studio for the first time since giving birth last October. She is also reported to looking for an "edgy" sound and is working with Ford and Harpoon, who worked on Arctic Monkey's Humbug and Florence + the Machine's Lungs and Ceremonials.

According to a source: "Adele wants to move with the times and is trying to make her new record sound as edgy as possible. The team she’s assembled is first rate and she’s confident they can help match the success of her first two albums. It’s no easy task as the world will be desperate to hear it."

There have also been reports that Adele is set to record a duet with Robbie Williams. She has previously said that if she were to record with another singer, the Robster would be her favoured partner.

"I'm not in doing collaborations," she said in 2009. "I love to sing with people live rather than on record. If I could do one with anyone - Robbie? Any day."

Last month, Adele said that she will only record a new album when she has "something to sing about". Her last album, 21, is by far the biggest-selling album of the 21st century so far.
