Good Wife star Josh Charles says that he thinks television is going through a golden age.
Charles, who plays Will Gardner in the hit show which returns to RTÉ One next month, listed The Good Wife along with Boardwalk Empire and Breaking Bad as examples of great modern television.
Speaking on RTÉ 2fm to his former Good Wife co-star, Simon Delaney, who is sitting in for Ryan Tubridy this week, the actor said: “TV is now a place where fantastic creativity is being done. At the moment the ideas in TV are more exciting than most film. It’s a very exciting time for TV."
The actor, who starred in Dead Poet's Society when he was just 17, added: “It used to be you were a theatre actor or a film or TV actor. The lines are now blurred with actors swapping stage and screen."
Irish viewers will be watching the fourth series of the legal drama when it kicks off on RTÉ next month and Charles says that a fifth series has already been green lit.
Tomorrow morning on 2fm, Delaney will be talking to The Dark Knight Rises star Aaron Eckhart about his new movie Olympus Has Fallen, a film about a terrorist attack on the White House.
