Valley of the Dolls actress Patty Duke has revealed that she has officially become an Irish citizen – just in time for St Patrick’s Day!
The 66-year-old star’s father, John Patrick Duke, was Irish-American, and for several years the award-winning actress and with the help of her husband Michael Pearce, has been secretly working towards receiving her dual-citizenship.
Yesterday (Mar12), an elated Duke revealed to her followers on Twitter that her official documents had been delivered.
She wrote: "Hi all, Mike and I have just recently became citizens of Ireland. Now we have dual citizenship. We r (are) so proud."
