Talk show host Jeremy Kyle has said he feels "lucky to be alive" after receiving the all-clear following surgery for testicular cancer.
Kyle told The Sun that he had put off visiting the doctor because he felt he was being "paranoid".
He had surgery the day after his diagnosis in December.
"It's been a horrific time - a very sobering experience - but now I just feel lucky to be alive," said Kyle.
"I feel lucky that I'm here for family and can see my kids grow up.
"To be honest, I thought, 'That's it, I'm dead'. The phone call I made to [wife] Carla was one of the most difficult of my life."
Kyle, who underwent a course of chemotherapy as a precaution, has returned to work on his ITV show.
