Departing EastEnders star Nina Wadia has revealed that she wanted her character Zainab to be killed off.
Speaking to Inside Soap magazine, she said: "I think [Zainab's exit] really works. But I actually asked for her to be killed off!
"I thought it would be great to see her jump out of a plane in a huge explosion, or get rid of her in a car crash.
"The producers said that Zainab wouldn't be killed off, and that was a nice compliment. The door's been left open in case I want to go back."
