Girls Aloud are reportedly the number one choice for the UK Eurovision Team to represent the country at this year’s competition.

They may have been in the music business for ten years, but if reports are to be believed there could be something in the pipeline for the five-piece girl band that they have never done before – but the question is will they want to do it?

According to Popbitch, Kimberly Walsh, Cheryl Cole, Nadine Coyle, Nicola Roberts and Sarah Harding are being actively pursued by the UK Eurovision team to represent the country at the song contest in Sweden later this year.

The gossip site also claims that the dream team for the UK would include, who would produce the track.

German band Cascada revealed their bid for Germany's entry today with the track Glorious.
