U2's Larry Mullen Jr will join director Mary McGuckian and co-star Kate O'Toole for the opening night of their new film Man on the Train at the Irish Film Institute in Dublin on Friday January 11.

The opening night screening of the new Irish-Canadian film - Mullen's acting debut - takes place at 6:30pm and Mullen will take part in a Q&A after the screening with McGuckian and O'Toole.

Based on the 2002 French film L'Homme du Train, Man on the Train tells the story of a teacher (Donald Sutherland) and a thief (Mullen) who "meet by chance and bond over their curiosity about each other's lives".

While planning a bank robbery near the home of the teacher, the thief moves in with the teacher and his partner (O'Toole).

Tickets for the opening night screening with Q&A are available from the IFI on: (01) 679 3477 or at: www.ifi.ie.
