Glee creator Ryan Murphy has become a father for the first time.

Murphy welcomed a son, Logan Phineas Miller Murphy, with husband David Miller on Christmas Eve.

The baby boy was born at 9.47am, weighing in at 6lbs 6oz, according to People.

The new addition to the family measured 21 inches long.

The American Horror Story creator and New Normal showrunner previously dropped clues that he would be starting a family soon.

"I thought if I don’t do this … I’m 46 … I will really, really regret it," he said in an interview earlier this year with Vogue.

"I want the kid to be bold. And I have a lot of preparation, dealing with these actors . . . 'I'm going to do the opposite of what you want.' But I realise, you just have to let go or you're screwed."

It is currently unknown whether Logan was born via a surrogate or was adopted.
