X Factor judge Louis Walsh has said that finalist Christopher Maloney has not got what it takes to be an international star.

The all-male final of the show takes place this weekend with the Liverpudlian going up against James Arthur, Jahmene Douglas.

Walsh also said that show creator Simon Cowell is more of a fan of James and Jahmene saying he loves "James, Jahmene, Ella, Union J."

Walsh and fellow judges, Gary Barlow, Tulisa Contostavlos and Nicole Scherzinger, were speaking yesterday ahead of the final which will be held in Manchester in front of a much larger audience than usual.

Walsh said: "I want James or Jahmene. You want the talent to win... It is the best launchpad in the UK if you have got the goods and we believe James and Jahmene have definitely got the goods." Speaking about Maloney, he said: "I just don't think he is an international star. Nice guy, good singer. Has he got the X Factor? I don't think so.

"Best of luck to him, he has done incredibly well to get into the final."
