Kelly Clarkson has explained that she was wary of releasing a greatest hits album because she feared music fans would think it was the end of his career.
The Miss Independent singer, who won American Idol in 2002, admitted that she was initially hesitant about the release of Greatest Hits: Chapter One.
Speaking to Sunday Brunch, the 30-year-old singer said: "I'm old all of a sudden. My label was like, 'We wanna put a greatest hits out', and I'm like, 'Whoa, it's not over!' That's why I called it Chapter One.
"It's amazing to have the songs to do that but at the same time... it seems like something you do when you're done and I'm not at all, but it does kind of wrap up a decade nicely."
