They came third two years ago but One Direction will make a triumphant return to their old stomping `n’ dancin’ ground for The X Factor final on December 9.
PA reports that Emeli Sande and Welsh choir Only Boys Aloud are also set to perform as this year’s series finally splutters to a close. However, all eyes will be on the boy band who have once again proved that coming second or third in the world’s biggest karaoke show is often the best way to secure a career.
Niall, Zayn, Liam, Harry and Louis, Sande and Only Boys Aloud will appear alongside the three finalists in the competition at Manchester Central on December 9.
The semi-final takes place this weekend, featuring Chris Maloney, Union J, Jahmene Douglas and James Arthur.
The massive ratings for The X Factor final have always landed big names for the finale and Beyonce, Rihanna, Coldplay and Take That have previously performed in the final of the show.
