Julie Feeney has been talking to RTÉ TEN about the inspirations behind her new album Clocks.

The idiosyncratic Galway singer says that she delved deep into the background and stories of her ancestors on the new 11-track recording.

Feeney, who won major acclaim for her first two albums 13 Songs and Pages, released Clocks on her own Mittens label and she’s about to undertake a nationwide tour for which she has recruited local choirs to perform with her at each performance.
