MK1 became the first group to leave The X Factor last night after the judging panel sent the vote to deadlock. The duo got support from judges Louis Walsh and Tulisa Contostavlos while Nicole Scherzinger and Gary Barlow voted to save Kye Sones from Barlow’s category. Barlow has already lost two acts from his category.
19-year-old Charlie and 24-year-old Sim found themselves leaving the show after it was revealed they came bottom in the public vote.
Afterwards their mentor Walsh said he hoped the pair would succeed and even called on X Factor boss Simon Cowell to support them.
MK1 were originally a three-piece band but their friend Will left after the judges said at the audition stage that they would only put them through as a duo.
