Naomie Harris has admitted that she went to university because she didn't want to be considered a ''stupid actress''.
The Skyfall actress studied social and political sciences at Cambridge University in England, but explained that she never had dreams of doing anything other than acting.
Speaking to InStyle magazine, Harris said: ''At the time I looked really young, I was too young to play adult roles and yet too old to play kids' roles. I was at a weird in-between stage. And obviously getting into a place like Cambridge, you can't really turn it down. I always wanted a degree. I didn't want to ever be considered a stupid actress. I wanted that extra dimension to myself.''
''I've always, always wanted to be an actress. I never wanted to do anything else, and I've never really done anything else, I've been very lucky.''
Naomie also revealed that she owes her confidence in her abilities to her mother, adding: ''My mum always instilled the belief in me that that anything is possible. It's an amazing thing to instil in a child, because children believe in whatever they've been told, so if you give them that belief, it never really goes away.''
