With the new James Bond movie Skyfall in cinemas at the end of this month, the Adele-sung title track has leaked online.
Commenting on her theme song involvement on the official Bond website, www.007.com, Adele said: "I was a little hesitant at first to be involved. There's a lot of instant spotlight and pressure when it comes to a Bond song. But I fell in love with the script and Paul [Epworth, producer and Adele's Skyfall co-writer] had some great ideas for the track and it ended up being a bit of a no-brainer to do it in the end. It was also a lot of fun writing to a brief, something I've never done, which made it exciting.
"When we recorded the strings it was one of the proudest moments of my life. I'll be back-combing my hair when I'm 60 telling people I was a Bond girl back in the day I'm sure!"
The full song officially premieres on Adele's website, www.adele.tv, on Friday October 5 at 12:07am and goes on sale immediately afterwards. It is now available for pre-order.
Directed by Sam Mendes, and starring Daniel Craig, Javier Bardem, Naomie Harris, Bérénice Marlohe, Judi Dench, Ralph Fiennes, Ben Whishaw and Albert Finney, Skyfall opens in cinemas on Friday October 26.
