The Kings of Leon bass guitarist Jared Followill has married model Martha Patterson in a country ceremony this weekend.
He may have only popped the question 5 months ago, but this Saturday (Sept 29) Jared Followill exchanged vows with Martha Patterson, a rep for The Kings of Leon confirmed.
Jared's bandmates - brother/singer Caleb Followill, 30, brother/drummer Nathan Followill, 33, and cousin/lead guitarist Matthew Followill, 28 - all attended the rustic ceremony, which a source described to US Weekly as a typical "country wedding."
Jared tweeted his excitement ahead of the ceremony saying: “Today, I get married. It's the biggest step I've ever taken. I've dreamed about this day since I was a little girl."
"Marrying my best friend today," Patterson also tweeted Saturday. "I'm the luckiest girl in the world."
Jared took to the social networking site again after the ceremony and wrote: “Aaaaaand I'm married. Happiest man in the world.”
Jared is the fourth and final member of the band to get hitched. Caleb married Victoria's Secret supermodel Lily Aldridge, 26, on May 12, 2011; they are parents to daughter Dixie Pearl, 3 months. Nathan wed singer/songwriter Jessie Baylin, 28, on November 2009; they are currently expecting their first child. Matthew and musician Johanna Bennett, 27, swapped vows in November 2009; they are parents to son Knox Cameron Patrick, 17 months.
