Ronnie Wood and his ex-wife Jo Wood are auctioning off their collection of Rolling Stones band and art memorabilia.

The former couple are selling their shared possessions after their 24-year marriage ended in divorce in 2001.

Among the items going under the hammer on October 27 are tour clothing, backstage passes, custom-painted Fender Stratocasters and Wood's own artwork including portraits of Keith Richards, Eric Clapton and Bob Dylan.

The auction is expected to raise up to $500,000, with part of the proceeds going to MusiCares, the Grammys charity that offers recovery to people in the music industry.

Darren Julien of Julien's Auctions said he expected the sale to do "very well".

He explained: "They are still very good friends and they just decided it was time to simplify and sell some of their property."
