Nicolas Cage has been cast in the action thriller I Am Wrath.
The actor will star as Stanley, a man who uncovers a web of police corruption following the murder of his wife.
Unable to rely on the authorities, he decides to take the law into his own hands and becomes a vigilante.
Stanley sets out to serve his own justice and “destroy those who abuse their power.”
Director William Friedkin (The French Connection, The Exorcist) is also eyeing the film, Deadline reports.
Production is scheduled to being on I Am Wrath in February 2013, with Paul Sloan penning the script.
