Viewers have been promised plenty of twists and fun as the first episode of Celebrity Bainisteoir – The Rivals airs on RTÉ One this evening, Sunday September 9, at 6:30pm.
In the Mairéad Farrell-hosted series the contestants are pitted against "a rival celebrity from their own world", with X Factor singer Mary Byrne, The Voice of Ireland's Richie Hayes, Celebrity Big Brother winner Paddy Doherty, reality TV star Calum Best, model Rozanna Purcell, WAG Jessica Lawlor and husband and wife Brian Ormond and Pippa O'Connor taking part.

The contestants will manage the following GAA Clubs:
Paddy Doherty - Scoil Uí Chonaill GAA Club, Clontarf, Dublin
Calum Best - Moy Davitts GAA Club, Foxford, Mayo
Mary Byrne - St Patrick's GAA Club, Tullow, Carlow
Richie Hayes - Tramore GAA Club, Waterford
Jessica Lawlor - Ballinora GAA Club, Cork
Roz Purcell - Newtowncashel, Longford
Pippa O'Connor - Naomh Bríd GAA Club, Donegal
Brian Ormond - St Mary's GAA Club, Rochfortbridge, Westmeath
The quarter-final matches will see the following ties:
Calum Best v Paddy Doherty
Mary Byrne v Richie Hayes
Brian Ormond v Pippa O'Connor
Jessica Lawlor v Rozanna Purcell
In episode one, the contestants attend a GAA Bootcamp in Dublin City University, where they discover that if they lose their quarter-final match they must become the assistant to the winning bainisteoir for the semi-finals and that they themselves must battle for home advantage for their teams.
