Sugababes original line-up, in the newly reformed band, Keisha Mutya Siobhán, have given their first interview together in over ten years.
It's been over ten years since Siobhán Donaghy left the noughties pop-group Sugababes. Since then, her two bandmates have also left the line-up. But now the girls are back together again, under a new name, with an album due for release next year.
Speaking about their forthcoming album they explained to music website Popjustice: "The album we’re making now is quite positive. And we wouldn’t have made an an album like that back then. This actually feels like the perfect record that would have come after the first."
The former bandmates reunited in 2009, three months after Keisha was asked to leave the band, leaving no original members in their line-up. The girls told Popjustice that they flirted with the idea of recording together at the time, but put the idea on hold until producer Brian Higgins contacted them last year.

Speaking about the first time the original three members sang together again, Mutya said: "To be honest with you it wasn’t an instant thing. When we were younger we gelled straight away, but we had to learn to blend with each other again."
Siobhán added: "The reason we didn’t fully commit to getting back together without singing together was that you never know if that magic is still going to be there. If it’s not going to be as magical as the first time around you don’t really want to do it, do you. The minute we sang together, we looked at each other, and we knew. It just worked."
Though no definitive album release date and there is no tour planned as of yet, the girls seem confident in their venture and are already discussing live shows. Mutya explained: "We’d like to do some classics from the first album and some songs from when Siobhan wasn’t in the band…"
"Even by the time I left we’d had 28 singles. So we’ll pick our best for our first comeback gig," Keisha added.
"The public seem really supportive of this so far... It’s almost got to the point where we would feel guilty if we didn’t do it. People wanted it so much that we would have been letting people down!
"People expect us to come with something fresh. And we will. We won’t disappoint."
Their lead single is expected to be released before the end of the year.
