Channel 4 has decided not to re-commission another series of My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding.
There will, however, be six My Big Fat Gypsy Wedding 'specials' dotted throughout the year focusing on select storylines, but the full series will not return.
"Entirely for creative reasons, we have reached the end of the line" Channel 4 chief creative officer Jay Hunt said. "We have quite naturally got to a point where we are thinking differently about that franchise".
"There will be some more Gypsy Weddings next year, we are doing some specials, but we are not doing another series. There comes a point where you have to move on from these things" Hunt added.
