Celebrities will once again vie for victory in the kitchen in the new series of BBC's Celebrity Masterchef.

Diarmuid Gavin is among the celebrities competing to be crowned Celebrity Masterchef. The gardening expert and television personality will compete against stars from music, television, film and sport.

Kennedy, Gates, Rouass and Layton will all compete to take home the trophy

Actresses Anne Charlton, Laila Rouass and Emma Kennedy will feature alongside actor George Layton, while presenters Jamie Theakston, Zoe Salmon, Richard McCourt (of duo Dick and Dom) and Michael Underwood will also compete.

Singers Gareth Gates and Javine Hylton, who found fame on Pop Idol and Popstars: The Rivals respectively will compete in the cookery competition. Bucks Fizz member Cheryl Baker is also included in the line-up.

Athletes Steve Parry, Danny Mills and Rebecca Romero will also compete, while comedienne Jenny Eclair completes the line-up.

The seventh season of the series will debut on Monday, August 13th at 6:30pm on BBC Two. Previous winners include sporting legends Matt Dawson and Phil Vickery, television personalities Jayne Middlemess, Nadia Sawahla and Lisa Faulkner, and singer Liz McClarnon.
