Peter Andre has said he wants to sell out London's Wembley Stadium before hanging up his microphone.

Speaking to the UK's Metro newspaper, the 39 year-old singer said "I'll do Wembley Stadium one day. I think I can do it in the next two years and then I'll hang my hat up".

The Mysterious Girl singer has planned a four-date UK tour later this year, called the Up Close and Personal Tour.

"People ask why I don't just concentrate on TV but if I'm selling out arenas, why would I? If I was selling 200 tickets I'd consider giving up but I'm still selling 14,000 tickets."

The singer is also currently in the production stages of a new television show called Bad Boyfriend Club. "It’s a light-hearted show with a bit of Punk’d and Beadle’s About in it. I’m in disguise for some of it and have to sting people," he explained.

"The guys aren’t bad, they’re just not very good boyfriends, according to their girlfriends. If they change, they can win a holiday to Mexico. There’s a lot of humour in it".

Andre said that this television show will mark his departure from reality television and his first dip into presenting. "TV is my future," the singer said, but insisted music will always be his passion.

Looking back at his career, he added "sure, some of the songs that have come out haven’t been the smartest choices but, over 22 years, I’ve worked with some of the best people in the music industry...I’ve got a pretty hot album coming out later this year with a couple of big features. It could change everything. This one isn’t about the marketing, it’s about the songs".

Andre added if he could have done anything differently in his career, "I'd never have released Insania. It lost me all credibility in music".
