Jon Favreau has joined the cast of Martin Scorsese's upcoming drama The Wolf of Wall Street.
The film follows the rise and decline of stockbroker Jordan Belfort's fortunes on Wall Street and his struggle with drug and alcohol addiction.
The film has been adapted by Boardwalk Empire creator Terence Winter from Belfort's memoir.
Favreau will appear alongside Leonardo DiCaprio, who plays the lead character Belfort.
Oscar-winning actor Jean Dujardin (The Artist), Jonah Hill (Moneyball) and Jon Bernthal (The Walking Dead) will also star.
Deadline reports that Favreau will play a securities lawyer in the drama, which is scheduled for release in 2013.
Scorsese has described The Wolf of Wall Street as a cautionary tale about greed and human nature.
