A Sleepy Hollow television series is reportedly being pitched in Hollywood with Total Recall director Len Wiseman attached.
The Legend of Sleepy Hollow is a 19th-century short story written by Washington Irving which went on to inspire a 1999 Tim Burton film version starring Johnny Depp and Christina Ricci.
Deadline reports that Star Trek writers Alex Kurtzman and Roberto Orci, along with 20th Century Fox, are currently pitching a TV show based on the supernatural story.
The series would apparently be set in the modern day, with Ichabod Crane partnering Sleepy Hollow's female sheriff to solve mysterious happenings in the town.
Kurtzman and Orci are planning to write the script alongside the little-known Phillip Iscove, who came up with the idea of bringing Sleepy Hollow television.
