Marti Pellow will play with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra again on Friday August 17 in a show that spans his 30-year career.

The show, Boulevard of Life, will feature songs from Wet Wet Wet, his solo career and his work in musical theatre.

Pellow also said the setlist would feature songs that just "float my boat or have a story that means something to me from a chapter in my life".

The singer said of the show: "Playing with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra is always special to me and my fans, but on this occasion I get to be conducted by my old friend Fiachra Trench, who over the years has arranged some of my biggest hits to date, and is much loved by me.

"So I get to come back to Dublin, hang out with my favourite orchestra in one of my favourite cities and sing some of my favourite songs. Oh, I can’t wait! Look forward to seeing you all on the night."

Also joining the RTÉ Concert Orchestra this summer will be Danielle de Niese, who has been called "opera's coolest soprano" by the New York Times Magazine.

In a fortuitous breakthrough in 2005, de Niese stood in for an ill singer at the Glyndebourne opera festival and wowed the audience and critics alike, going on to take the world by storm. She makes her Irish debut on Friday August 24 with the RTÉ Concert Orchestra.

This year it's the 70th anniversary of the all-time classic Casablanca, and to mark the occasion the RTÉ Concert Orchestra will present a screening of the film accompanied by the full orchestra on Friday August 31.
