Singer Seal says he's doing "excellently" after his split with supermodel wife Heidi Klum earlier this year.
"I'm in an excellent place right now" the 49 year-old said, "In a situation like this, your priority is the children. As long as the children are happy, I'm happy".
Speaking to USA Today he said he has moved on, "When you live your private life in public, and things aren't necessarily as rosy as people think, you owe it to the public to speak up.
"There were people who were genuinely upset that what they thought was perfect was no longer."
The couple were famous for their public displays of affection and their annual renewal of their vows, so it came as a huge shock to the world when the couple announced their split, via a joint statement, last January.
Klum and Seal (full name Seal Samuel) met in 2004 and married in Mexico in 2005. The couple have four children together, Henry (6), Johan (5), Lou (2) and Leni (8), whose biological father is Flavio Briatore. Samuel adopted her officially in 2009.
The singer currently acts as a mentor on the Australian version of The Voice. Karise Eden won the first series of the reality competition in June, with Seal as her mentor.
