Radiohead have postponed a number of their tour dates following on from the stage collapse which killed a drum technician in Toronto.
The band were scheduled to play at Downsview Park last Saturday before the roof of the stage collapsed, killing 33-year-old Scott Johnson.
Radiohead confirmed in a statement that their upcoming shows in Italy, Germany and Switzerland – due to take place at the end of June and the beginning of July – will be postponed until a later date.
The statement also revealed that the band's lighting set-up was "destroyed" and that there was also considerable damage caused to their valuable audio equipment.
The statement on the bands website read: "As you will probably have heard the roof over the stage collapsed at our show in Toronto killing crew member Scott Johnson and injuring three other crew members,"
"The collapse also destroyed the light show - this show was unique and will take many weeks to replace. The collapse also caused serious damage to our backline, some elements of which are decades old and therefore hard to replace.
"Whilst we all are dealing with the grief and shock ensuing from this terrible accident there are also many practical considerations to deal with & consequently we have to try and reschedule the [Italian, German and Swiss] shows."
The band are set to announce the new dates for the postponed shows on Wednesday (June 27), and will resume their tour in France at Nimes's Les Arenes on July 10.
The statement concluded: "We will make every effort to offer the fans the very best show possible under the circumstances - thanks for your understanding and support."
Radiohead drummer Phil Selway paid tribute to Scott Johnson, who had worked with bands such as Keane and White Lies
"He was a lovely man, always positive, supportive and funny; a highly skilled and valued member of our great road crew," he said.
"We will miss him very much. Our thoughts and love are with Scott's family and all those close to him."
