Anna Friel is set to return to the West End to star in the Chekhov classic Uncle Vanya.
The former Brookside star won acclaim for her role as Holly Golightly in a revival of Breakfast At Tiffany's nearly three years ago. She is also known for her roles in Pushing Daisies and ITV's Without You.
She will star alongside Ken Stott, who will soon feature in the movie of The Hobbit and Samuel West, who is filming ITV drama series Mr Selfridge. West landed a best actor Olivier nomination for his role in Enron.
The play opens at London's Vaudeville Theatre, in the Strand, from November 2.
