Actress Amanda Bynes has pleaded not guilty in her DUI case, while also tweeting President Obama for help in clearing her name.

The 26-year-old star of television shows like The Amanda Show and What I Like About You was arrested in April in Los Angeles after allegedly clipping a police car while driving, then refusing to take blood alcohol tests.

The Hairspray actress tweeted to President Barack Obama for help clearing her name, writing "Hey @BarackObama... I don't drink. Please fire the cop who arrested me. I also don't hit and run. The end."

TMZ reports that Bynes was not present at yesterday's hearing, but her representation entered a 'not guilty' plea, with a pretrial date set for July 18th.

Earlier in the week she broadcast to her followers "I can't help but laugh at all of you writing fake stories about me. I was not in any hit and runs. I don't drink so the DUI is false."
