US cable channel Lifetime is developing a drama based on the Clarice Starling character Jodie Foster played in The Silence of the Lambs.
Clarice will follow the exploits of a young Clarice Starling soon after she graduates from the FBI academy and is the second Lambs’ project upcoming on American TV.
NBC has been working on a 13-episode series called Hannibal, which also takes place in the world of author Thomas Harris' Hannibal Lecter series of books.
Hannibal – which has Pushing Daisies creator Bryan Fuller at the helm - won't include the Clarice character, and focuses on the relationship between Hannibal and FBI criminal profiler Will Graham, played by Hugh Dancy.
