Irish actor Chris O’Dowd and his fiancée Dawn Porter have asked The Voice star Ruth Brown to sing at their upcoming wedding.
O’Dowd, who saw his star soar after the success of Bridesmaids, told The Sun that he and his wife-to-be Dawn Porter where so impressed by Ruth Brown’s rendition of the Get Here on The Voice UK that they have asked her to sing at their wedding.
The Boyle native said: “I've been addicted to The Voice. It's amazing, isn't it? Ruth is definitely our favourite, that girl can really, really sing.”
"Dawn has picked out a special song she wants for the wedding when she is walking down the aisle. I can't say what as it's a surprise for the day but it'll need a big voice to sing it."
The couple plan to marry in August after getting engaged last year.
