Ex-EastEnders star Cheryl Fergison believes that her character Heather Trott was "worth being killed off."

The actress, whose character was killed by Ben Mitchell on the hit TV soap, explained that it was worth giving her character the axe given the cast’s performance in recent weeks.

Taking to her twitter page this morning she wrote: "Think Steve McFadden (Phil) and Linda Henry (Shirley) have been fantastic on Enders and it was really nice to see Hev's hen night VT - loving Josh [Pascoe] who plays Ben.

"And Jamie [Borthwick] is great as Jay it has been fab watching the fallout if all this Adam Woodyatt (Ian) also brilliant strong storyline and worth being killed off for truly (sic)."

Fergison also explained that she has no idea of how the storyline will conclude saying: "They are doing a fab job can't wait to see what happens next. Talk to Linda and Steve often and they can't tell me."
