It has been confirmed that Diane Keen is to leave Doctors.
The actress, who has played the part of practice manager Julia Parson for over a decade, is set to depart the show next month.
Speaking to What’s on TV Keen said: "It's been a heck of a ride and a huge learning curve. There are so many people I'm going to miss. But we will always keep in touch.
"Julia has had a tough time over the years, but she has always come through with grace and humour. While she doesn't suffer fools, she does have a heart of gold and a great sense of humour. So whatever happens, here's to Julia's future happiness!"
It is suggested that Julia may be offered a new job away from Letherbridge. However, it's unclear whether she will exit the show with her new flame, garage owner Martin Millar, or if she will leave a broken-hearted woman.
Keen joined Doctors in 2003, and will be departing the show on May 18.
