Actor Stephen Rea is to begin reading The Dead from James Joyce's Dubliners on the Book on One on RTÉ Radio One tonight, Monday April 2, at 11.15pm.
The Book on One will feature the story in its entirety over 10 programmes in the Monday to Friday slot over the next two weeks.
Dubliners is the chosen book for the One City, One Book project for April 2012.
The initiative encourages people to read a chosen book during the month of April each year.
