Former Blue Peter star Konnie Huq has given birth to her first child, a baby boy.
According to the Press Association Huq and her husband, the comedy writer Charlie Brooker, are overjoyed following the birth of Covey Brooker Huq at 10pm on Friday evening in central London.
In a statement, Huq said, "A real cutie. We are chuffed to bits, he is absolutely gorgeous!!".
Covey weighed in at 6lb 2oz, according to Huq's agent Jonathan Shalot.
Huq and Brooker have managed to keep their relationship intensely private since meeting a couple of years ago. They made headlines after it emerged they had married in Las Vegas in 2010 after dating for just nine months.
