Sony has commissioned a sequel to 21 Jump Street with Jonah Hill and Michael Bacall set to write it.
The comedy movie starring Jonah Hill and Channing Tatum has been a huge box office success in its opening weekend, and studio Sony are now keen to see a follow-up, with both actor and writer Jonah and fellow scribe Michael Bacali on board to create it.
According to Empire magazine no deals are yet in place with regards to stars, but it is expected that Channing would be willing to reprise the role of Jenko.
It is not known if filmmaking duo Phil Lord and Chris Miller will return to direct the film, as they are now working on a Lego film and other projects.
Channing has a number of movies set to be released in the next year, including G.I. Joe: Retaliation, where he plays Captain Duke Hauser - and stripper movie Magic Mike alongside Alex Pettyfer.
Jonah, who was nominated for an Oscar for his performance in Moneyball, will next been seen in Neighbourhood Watch and Good Time Gang.
