We won’t see it for a while yet but Tina Fey’s 30 Rock aired a Paddy’s Day special last night in the US.
The sixth season of the multi award-winning comedy has been all about various holidays celebrated in the States.
They’ve had Martin Luther King Day, League of Women Voters' Day, Leap Day, and last night viewers on the other side of the Atlantic were treated to a St Patrick’s Day celebration.
And while Alec Baldwin’s TV exec Jack Donaghy character is clearly Irish-American and very proud of his Hibernian background, the more WASP-ish Liz Lemon is not a fan of Saint Patrick or his holiday.
"I will be wearing head-to-toe orange in honour of Protestant William of Orange," she says at one point. "Inventor of the orange according to Yahoo Answers."
Season six of 30 Rock continues on Sundays on 3e.
