Katy Perry has congratulated One Direction's Niall Horan after the group's album topped the US iTunes chart.
The singer put the Irish teenager through from the auditions when she appeared on The X Factor during the seventh series in 2010, and it seems she's thrilled with how well he's done with the band's debut album Up All Night, reports the Daily Mirror.
Perry tweeted: "Congratulations, you didn't let me down!"
Horan responded to the US star, thanking her again for having faith in him when he was on the TV talent show.
He tweeted: "Let's hope it holds out this week! Thank you for putting me thru!"
Horan said the group have been working hard and added: "I won't let you down."
