Katy Perry has revealed that a 3-D documentary movie following her life and tour is to be released this summer.
The singer follows in the footsteps of pop superstars Justin Bieber, Miley Cyrus and The Jonas Brothers by releasing a documentary film.
Perry took to her Twitter account to break the news to fans, writing ''FINALLY, my MOVIE is coming out with Paramount this summer! It's called "KATY PERRY: PART OF ME" Presented In 3D! KATYCATS-LETS TREND #KP3D'
Speculation arose last month following a tip-off that a Perry movie was in the works. It's believed Paramount approached the singer and pitched to her a similar model to Never Say Never, the documentary film Justin Bieber released last year with Paramount Pictures.
It has also been reported that Perry has been approached by film executives to star in a biopic about Britain's Got Talent winner Paul Potts. Perry is slated to play his wife, Julie-Ann, in the feature about the singer's life.
