Megan Fox has spoken out about her replacement in the Transformers franchise, Rosie Huntington-Whiteley.

Fox starred in the first two Transformers movies as the girlfriend of Shia LeBeouf's character Sam, but did not reprise her role in the third instalment.

British Victoria's Secret model Huntington-Whiteley was cast in Transformers: Dark of the Moon as Sam's new love interest.

Fox told Next Movie: "I haven't seen it so I don't know what she's like in it but I think having seen her around she's a very likable girl and I don't think she did anything wrong by taking that part.

"I mean Mike [Bay] wanted her in the movie. She was a model and she was like, 'Yeah, I'll be in Transformers 3'. And I've only heard good things about her so I have nothing negative to say."

Fox added that although she hasn't seen the third movie, she plans to watch it as she was impressed by the trailer.

She explained: "I wanted to see it as soon as it came out but I knew I couldn't go to the theatre so I'll just have to Netflix it.

"And you know there's a part of me that wants to hate the trailer when it comes out, pick it apart and be like 'I saw that in the second one', and I couldn't.

"I was like, 'Wow, the trailer's... amazing.' It was. I don't know about the movie, I'm going to see it, but I was impressed."
