Lady Gaga has landed a new world record by becoming the first person to have 20 million followers on the social networking site, Twitter.
Not content with being one of the world’s biggest selling recording artists, Lady Gaga has now got the biggest following on the micro-blogging site than any other person in the world.
The Born this Way star has been the queen of the social networking site since August 2010, when she overtook Britney Spears, and her reign hit a new high on yesterday when she surpassed the 20 million followers mark.
Justin Bieber is now Gaga's closest rival with 18.1 million online fans, while Katy Perry has 15.7 million followers and Shakira boasts 14.5 million. Spears currently has 13.6 million followers.
