Mary Portas' partner Melanie Rickey, fashion editor with Grazia, is expecting her first child.
The Times ran a fashion supplement as part of London Fashion Week were she was referred to as 'mum-to-be'. The Daily Mail reports that Rickey conceived through IVF treatment and that the father has not been confirmed.
38-year-old Rickey and 51-year-old Portas entered into a civil partnership in the UK in 2010.
Fashion guru and TV star Mary Portas already has two teenage children from her previous marriage, which ended in an amicable divorce.
Both Rickey and Portas have been very vocal about their relationship. Neither have taken to their personal Twitter accounts to announce the news.
Speaking to The Evening Standard recently, Portas gushed about Rickey, saying "I fell in love with a woman and I had to think about what I was prioritising. I thought that for once I was going to make sure that I was totally and utterly happy and therefore I was going to make it work."
