The Jameson Dublin International Film Festival award winners have been announced, with Gareth Evans' martial arts film The Raid winning both the Audience Award and the Dublin Film Critics Circle Award for Best Film – a first in festival history.
The Dublin Film Critics Circle also honoured Nuala: A Life and Death as Best Irish Film, with Michael Fuith winning Best Actor for his performance in Michael and Greta Gerwig winning Best Actress for Damsels in Distress.
Nuri Bilge Ceylan was named Best Director for Once upon a Time in Anatolia.
The award for Best Screenplay went to Joseph Cedar's Footnote, with Samsara winning Best Documentary.
There were Special Jury Awards for Tin Can Man director Ivan Kavanagh; Play director Ruben Östlund; actress Aisling Loftus for her performance in Death of a Superhero and director-writers Vincent Paronnaud and Marjane Satrapi for Chicken with Plums.
Eoghan Mac Giolla Bhride was honoured with the Michael Dwyer Discovery Award for his work on the film Silence.
The UNTITLED screenwriting competition, where entrants had to present an idea for a feature film based on the theme '1916', was won by Jamie Hannigan and Michael Kinirons for Come Monday, We Kill Them All.
There were also Volta career achievement awards for actors Al Pacino and Stellan Skarsgard and director and cinema chain owner Marin Karmitz.
Festival Director Gráinne Humphreys said: "It has been a busy, thrilling festival - with world premieres and old classics, Irish and international. Hollywood legends and emerging world talent shared their films and their passion with Irish audiences; it was a festival to remember for so many of us. Better get started on next year."
