Desperate Housewives stars Eva Longoria, Felicity Huffman, Marcia Cross and James Denton are to be called as witnesses in former co-star Nicollette Sheridan's legal action against the show's creator/executive producer Marc Cherry, ABC Studios and ABC.
Deadline.com reports that Sheridan is suing Cherry and the network for wrongful termination and battery.
Longoria, Huffman, Cross and Denton are to be called as defence witnesses along with former star Neal McDonough, but co-star Teri Hatcher is not on the witness list.
The case will focus on Sheridan's departure from the series; if she wins the court has said she will be entitled to around $4.2m, her annual salary.
Sheridan had originally sought $20m after filing a lawsuit alleging wrongful termination, sexual harassment, emotional distress as well as assault a battery, but in a pre-trial hearing a judge said that Sheridan could only proceed with the wrongful termination and battery claims.
Sheridan alleges that her character was killed off and she was let go from the show in February 2009 because she complained to studio bosses that Cherry hit her during an argument in September 2008.
The case is expected to conclude by March 12.
The final series of Desperate Housewives continues on RTÉ Two on Tuesday nights.
