A representative for Whitney Houston’s family has responded to reports that the singer’s heart-broken daughter Bobbi Kristina went missing after her mother’s funeral.

Whitney Houston was remembered in a memorial service in her home town of Newark, New Jersey over the weekend.

Hundreds of family members and friends showed up to pay their respects, including Houston's 18-year-old daughter, mother Cissy, cousin Dionne Warwick, actor Kevin Costner, and singers Stevie Wonder and Alicia Keys.

In the hours after the funeral, reports began to surface that the devastated teenager had disappeared, sparking panic amongst her family members, but a spokesperson for the Houstons has now explained the situation, stating that the Bobbi Kristina was just having some alone time to reflect.

The representative revealed; “There was some confusion about Bobbi Kristina's whereabouts for a short time, but she's OK. She needed some time alone."

Houston was laid to rest on Sunday at the Fairview Cemetery in Westfield. She was found dead a week earlier in the Beverly Hilton Hotel in Los Angeles.
