The Elle Style Awards took place last night in London, with a typically fashionable crowd turning out for the annual ceremony.

This year, style icon and TV presenter Alexa Chung hosted the event, which was attended by Hollywood stars like Christina Ricci and Gillian Anderson and top models such as Naomi Campbell and Poppy Delevigne.
Transformers star Rosie Huntington Whiteley took home the coveted Style Icon award, while Michelle Williams was named Best Actress for her role in My Week with Marilyn.

Mad Men's Christina Hendricks was honoured with the Best TV Star award, The Help star Jessica Chastain was named Next Future Icon and Florence Welch won the Best Music Act category.

Alexander McQueen designer Sarah Burton, who designed the Duchess of Cambridge's wedding dress last year, won the International Designer of the Year prize.
