CBS has ordered a comedy pilot from the married Bridesmaids duo Ben Falcone and Melissa McCarthy.
Falcone played Air Marshall Jon in the hit comedy, which co-starred his real-life spouse McCarthy.
The untitled CBS project has Falcone starring and co-writing the project, with McCarthy executive producing. The pitch: "Comedy series about a single 37-year-old man (Falcone) who loses everything he has in the real estate collapse and finds himself back home in the house he grew up in with his parents."
McCarthy, who is up for the Best Supporting Actress accolade at the Academy Awards later this month for her role in Bridesmaids, revealed recently that she still worries about her film career.
Speaking to the Press Association she said: "I keep pinching myself and I really hope I don't get the call where someone goes 'kidding!'
"It makes me go back to my first acting classes and all those times you just think 'Oh, if I could just get a commercial I could go down to two jobs.'"
She added: "And I still have that mentality of 'Let me have a job!' And I think I'm going to have to go (and) wait tables again. I just always wanted to do work and I wanted to like it. And to have this (success) with something I like doing too is kind of an added bonus."
